The art of celebrating and finding thoughtful gifts for friends and family is something I learned from my maternal grandmother. She loved celebrating occasions big and small, and was always on the lookout for a great find that she knew would be perfect for someone in her life.
Some of my fondest memories with Granny include exploratory trips to small boutiques in NYC, antique shops along the Jersey Shore, department stores, and even Marshalls. She saw giving thoughtful gifts as a meaningful expression of care and affection, and knew they could come from anywhere. Through her and the incredibly thoughtful women she raised, I came to love both the thrill of the hunt for a great find, and the delight that comes from giving a gift that makes its recipient feel celebrated and appreciated.

Hi! I'm Caitlin. Here for All your gifting moments big or small!Over time I have realized that not everyone gets this same joy out of gifting. For many people, gifting can feel like a source of stress, not celebration. People either don’t know where to start, or simply don’t have the time to navigate the complex retail landscape and online sea of sameness to get gifts for all of the occasions in their lives. Even for me as a busy mom with a corporate job in NYC, I found that sometimes gifting felt like more of a burden or an extra strain on my mental load than the joy it should be.
This is why I started The Thoughtful Find. I bring my passion for celebrations and seeking out a great find to help you source thoughtful gifts for any occasion. I am here to make gifting as simple and seamless as possible for you, so you can focus on celebrating your people and enjoy making them feel appreciated and cared for. While I source gifts from everywhere, I am lucky to draw inspiration from the countless amazing shops and small businesses here in NYC where I live. I love having local shops I can rely on for great gifts that I otherwise wouldn’t find on my own, so I try to support and spotlight small businesses and brands when I can.
